Quicksilver is named for San Francisco's Quicksilver Messenger Service, a band which was an integral part of the psychedelic rock era in the 1960's along with the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane. Quicksilver's unique sound was influenced by jazz, folk and classical music.
Their music exemplified the era of the summer of love, free spirit, exploration and experimentation. While the band members changed throughout the years, they are known for amazing guitar duels on stage with John Cipollina and Gary Duncan.
The Mona colorway pays tribute to one of their songs on the Happy Trails album. Hear the song that inspired the Mona colorway!
