Angela Adams has been drawing rugs from the Maine coast since 1998. The patterns come from tidal flats, forest floors, granite ledge and the particular light of a North Atlantic morning, translated into color and line you can live on.
Every rug is made from pure New Zealand wool, chosen for its lanolin content and spring, which is why these rugs hold their shape and their color for decades rather than seasons.
You will find two constructions at angela adams.
Hand-tufted rugs have a dense cut pile with real depth underfoot, suited to living rooms and bedrooms.
Flatweaves are thinner and tighter, better where doors swing, chairs slide, or a low profile matters. Sizes run from 3 by 3 accents up to 9 by 12, with runners and 8 foot rounds in between.
Every rug is made just for us from pure New Zealand wool and ships in 8 to 10 weeks.
We encourage you to order a sample square first if you want to see the color and hand in your own light and will gladly credit returned samples towards your final purchase.
