Native Line by Justine Ashbee

I fell in love with Justine Ashbee’s work the first time I ever laid eyes on it. Her weavings are textural, elegant and beautiful crafted. We’re thrilled to be carrying her pieces in our retail store and urge you to come by and see them in person. — angela

“Expanding her horizons as an artist, Justine Ashbee is pleased to introduce Native Line, new forms in woven precious metals, golds, and silvers. Justine fashioned a career through her line drawings, from which she took a hiatus to open a Seattle arts and culture spot, Cairo. She has since left Cairo to return to her wave inspired artwork. After spending several months in the desert of Southwest, the landscape that most speaks to her, her light inspired visions unraveled in new woven forms. Native Line consists of one off woven pieces, wearable jewelry, hanging light sculptures, & wall hangings, all of which stem from her early explorations in weaving metal sculptures, as a textiles student, at the Rhode Island School of Design. Inspired by the timeless motifs of indigenous woven craft work, Justine combines geometric lines with shimmering metals, to create luminary pieces of woven art, whether for your wall, or to wear as every day statement pieces.” >>Native Line
