Collaboration with Kat Manock

Collaborating with other artists and designers is a rewarding exercise. The suprises that happen can make for a magical combination of different approaches to the same challenges.

I really enjoyed collaborating with Kat Manock, a talented jewelry artist that lives on the island where I grew up. She was so full of fun ideas and mixed media that I wish we could do some form of that collaborating every few months.

After bouncing ideas around, we decided to embark on a series of handcrafted necklaces made out of found and collected materials. We went to work in our studios, translating the same ideas in different ways and basing them on inspirations we are surrounded by here on the Coast of Maine. I look forward to working with Kat again and turning some shared inspirations into collaborative pieces.
