“My mother was always working hard to make our little Midwestern home feel much grander than it’s very humble size, and she loved spending time playing with us on the floor. When I was about 5 we redid the living room from an all gold-and-white motif, ripped out the worn gold carpeting, and painted the walls what she called “moondust blue.” The Garbo Sapphire rug reminds me of my mother– it’s a touch of glam that she would’ve loved to add to our humble little abode.”
