Handbags
Leather: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean away dust. If a deep cleaning is required, use an all-in-one product which cleans, moisturizes and protects the leather. Always keep your leather bag in a cool, clean, dry place. If it becomes wet, pat dry as soon as possible with a soft cloth and place the bag somewhere with good ventilation to air dry. With care, you will enjoy your leather bag for a very long time.
Canvas: Our printed canvas bags are made with 100% cotton and are treated with stain resistant and UV protective finishes. Spot clean with mild soap and water. Store in a cool, dry place.
Jacquard: Our woven jacquard bags are treated with stain resistant and UV protective finishes. Dry-clean only.

Cotton and Wool Rugs
Care Tips: The most important maintenance involves frequent vacuuming and spot removal when necessary, as well as periodic cleaning by a professional (see information on professional cleaning below). angela adams does not recommend any stain repellent treatments that contain silicone, because they tend to accelerate carpet soiling.
Vacuuming: Regular and thorough vacuuming with a good vacuum as often as needed is the best way to remove soil and dirt particles before they become imbedded in your rug.

Spot and Stain Removal

  • Immediate treatment of any spill is very important! Blot up liquids with a paper towel or color free absorbent cloth. Scoop up solids with the end of a knife or spoon.
  • Apply an absorbent dry powder cleaner directly to the affected area. Let stand for 15 minutes, and vacuum well until all powder is gone. Repeat as necessary.
  • Please note that the absorbent powder cleaners are intended for spot cleaning only. Be careful of overuse, which may cause build up.

Professional Cleaning: Depending on traffic and wear, you may want to have your rug professionally cleaned annually. Regular cleaning will enhance color and texture and extend the life of your rug. Find a reputable cleaner in your area that specializes in high quality wool rugs. We recommend steam cleaning or hot water extraction."

A Few Things You Should Know

  • angela adams uses only the highest quality industry standard dyes when dyeing our wool. These dyes have very good fastness properties, however you should always give your rug protection from direct sunlight. Rotating your rug and furniture occasionally is recommended to equalize wear and sun effects.
  • New wool carpet sheds loose wool fibers or "fluff". This is the normal result of fibers left in the rug during the manufacturing process. Regular vacuuming will remove these fibers over time, usually a few months to a year. Remember, you can’t over-vacuum your rug!
  • Occasionally, through normal wear a yarn tuft will work its way to the surface of the rug. Never pull these out, simply snip long cut pile yarns even to the surface and loops individually as low as you can.
  • angela adams rugs are naturally thick and luxurious. We recommend that you use a non-slip pad under the rug to keep it in place.
